Robinson:
JIM ROBINSON is the
owner and founder of the DILLIGAF Motorcycle Company. His
quest for the custom bike of his dreams lead to the creation
of his own shop to make bikes for himself, as well as others
who demand the best.
Robinson has a successful
background in the powerboat racing industry, and is the 1995
APBA Open National Champion and 1996 APBA/SBR Superboat World
Champion.
Robinson has been
in the aviation business since he was 17 years of age. He
brings the discipline and technical knowledge that is demanded
in aviation to the world of motorcycle building and design.
"We demand the best
from our people, because in flying one cannot just pull over
to the side of the road if something goes wrong. We look at
the bikes in the same way and take the same passionate attention
to detail when we are building our bikes as we do when we
are working on a jet."
Robinson owned and
operated the "Combat Jets Flying Museum" for six years.
"We had nine vintage
military jets all of which flew in 15 air shows a season.
It was an exacting and sometime difficult task to keep all
these vintage fighters flying, but we had a lot of fun and
it was very rewarding. The motorcycle company is an offshoot
really of the museum. It grew out of something I was doing
exclusively for myself. When we had a bunch of other folks
wanting custom scooters, we decided why not?"
