DILLIGAF Motorcycle
Company is a designer and builder of high-class, custom motorcycles
in Lead, SD.
The company commissions
bikes for people who have a dream design in mind, but need
a talented, knowledgeable team of professionals to make it
a reality.
The idea for the
company was borne of DILLIGAF founder Jim Robinson's personal
mission to build his own custom cycle.
Once completed, a
friend was awestruck of Robinson's ride. He asked if Robinson
could build him one, too. Thus, DILLIGAF was born. Robinson
makes sure that the personal attention to detail that he demanded
for his own bike carries on to each of his clients' creations.
"People come to
me for a truly custom-designed motorcycle that's done right
the first time," he said.
The DILLIGAF concept
is simple: build truly custom bikes, crafted from the vision
of each high-end customer. In fact, DILLIGAF exudes freedom
of choice. When
a customer commissions a DILLIGAF bike, his experience and
opinions are the working foundation for the designers and
craftsmen, who build one bike at a time.
The buyer oversees
every detail, from the engine size and horsepower, to the
custom airbrush paint job, to the mix of leather and chrome
that will make the ride shine unlike any other. This is no
assembly line.
Since DILLIGAF's
team is creating only one motorcycle at a time, they are intimately
involved with each bike and each customer.
Customers can view
weekly digital pictures of their ride-under-construction on
their personal page on the DILLIGAF Web site, and can tweak
and discuss design issues along the way.
So confident is Robinson
in his product that customers pay nothing up front when they
commission a DILLIGAF. The sales price - averaging between
$35,000 to $45,000 - is paid upon delivery. If the customer
is dissatisfied, they pay nothing.
"We want the customer
to be 100 percent satisfied with their bike, and the way to
accomplish that is to keep them involved," Robinson said.
"These are not show bikes. They are meant for people who want
to go from bar to bar, rally to rally and make a statement."
